The incident took place in Uberlândia, in the state of Minas Gerais, on the morning of Tuesday (22). The woman said she was taking her children to school when she heard a “strange noise.”
She ignored the noise and kept driving. It was only when she stopped the car that she discovered the animal was stuck in her bumper. After being hit, the fox had been dragged for many kilometers.
The animal had to be removed from the woman’s car with the help of the fire department. The rescue team was very careful during the removal, and the fox was rescued alive.
It was taken for veterinary care at the Wild Animal Research Laboratory (LAPAS) of the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU), but it did not survive its injuries.
